I love Chambara flicks but never got around to seeing this one. I’ve seen 2 and that was really good too. But this one was amazing. Such deep conflicts in all the main characters and as we all know Mifune is the man. After researching a little after watching, I read that this film won best foreign film oscar the year it was out.
ya that trilogy is the bomb. gotta love the rice paddy fight.

I think this was on IMC or something along those lines last year. 3 Saturdays in a row… watched it while eating pancakes. That was the first time I’d seen it in maybe 15-16 years. I was like 12 or 13 first time I saw it.
