Moving to New York or Boston!

Hey yall, just found out I’ll be moving to New York (for sure) or Boston (haven’t heard yet) for grad school in September. So I’ll be looking for a new place to train. I’m pretty happy learning Taiji but I miss having people to free spar with…my gear has been gathering dust in the corner. Any ideas on “internal” schools that emphasize sparring? Hey maybe I’ll show up one day at LKFMDFC’s school…haha.

If I were in NY I’d train at Ross’ whatever.

Fu Pow,

Let me know if you move to Boston. I live next to Boston in Quincy and know where the schools are and can take you around to meet and greet.

Be well,

anyone and everyone is welcome at my school, but we are not a “kung fu school”… we also don’t do “point fighitng”

Hey thanks Dale that’s a very generous offer!

Can’t you feel the love;)

I’d go to Ross’s school if I was in NYC. I’ve got an old student living there who has gotten fat and happy - been pushing him hard to go - but I think he fears the beatings he’ll take after so many years of no training…

I wondered why your guy never showed up

Come on though, it’s not like we’re gonna beat you up the first class!

(3rd class, MAYBE… but, come on!)

New York Kung fu

Try James Cama, Fut Sao wing Chun and Jook Lum Preying Mantis - Located in Brooklyn

ill would totally jump on the Ross bandwagon

Yeah, I know. I’ll give you a call, I’ve got an idea to drag his @ss in. He’s badly out of shape, but he was a tough mofo in his day… and if he doesn’t want his days to end prematurely, he needs to train.

Looks like I’m officially moving to NYC. I’ll be in grad school so I don’t know how much time I’ll have for H2H but I would like to find something. Any ideas are appreciated. I’

don’t forget to stop by and visit…

I miss Boston:(

And now I’m leaving New York, but at least I’ll be back to training with my sifu full time again, in Miami.

There’s a lot of schools here in NYC, I only got to visit a few while I’ve been here. Not much CLF around that I know of other than Lama Pai Sifu’s school. Never visited there either, too busy with work, plus it’s a bit of a trek from where I am in Brooklyn.

jeff:)

When are you moving? I’ll be in the Bronx in early August for a few days.
