You idiot. Read my earlier post again - there are two forms of apostrophe usage - possessive and contractive. It’s not “The car is headlights”. It’s another form of “The headlights of the car”. Obviously you only know of one form - contracting “is” to " ‘s". There is another (very commonly used and obviously very abused by you) form - possessive. “Your mother’s house” doesn’t mean “Your mother is house”, it means “The house of your mother”. If you had two or more mothers it would be "Your mothers’ house". If you have one mother it is, without a doubt, “Your mother’s house”. It’s not logic I’m using to argue my point, it’s facts - basic English grammar that obviously many people have a problem with. Once again it’s sad that you who calls yourself an English teacher can’t even get it right.

Both of those are reasonably academically clear argumented for you. I’ll repeat the gist of them once more (God knows why):

BL you are incorrect about the use of the apostrophe. I can see where you’re coming from if you only know the contractive use, and yeah your argument is logical and would be correct, were it not for the FACTS that English isn’t logical and there is another usage you are apparently unaware of.
For the sake of your students please just check in a grammar book. Swanns’ Practical English usage is good. Honestly, you are teaching them WRONG.
It is incredibly easy to get a job teaching English in China. You don’t have to be any sort of expert or even be able to speak it ‘properly’ in order to get a job. That’s the beauty of lesson planning. So please stop using the fact that you’re a teacher to make yourself out as some sort of authority.
