I have a friend who’s interested in trying out traditional kung fu or modern wushu. Can folks post any links for schools near the Engelwood community (say 30 min radius)? Thanks a bunch 
Hell, if you are in Engelwood, I’d take up combat handgunning instead.
I used to communte through there every day - it was the democrats dream - all run down with government run stores. But i got to know some great people as I passed through the neighborhood. They all thought I was cracked for going through there, but I never said i was sane.
Check out Chinatown…see who is teaching there these days. I hear the Ng family guys are pretty good. There used to be a strong White Crane/White Brow group. Plus Wilbur Rimes teaches SPM in Hyde Park. There was also a good Guo Shu group in Hyde Park run by a doctor whose name eludes me…one of his students was named Darius or some such.
Don’t know anything in Engelwood proper.

i’m not sure her exact location, but basically, anything around the north side is preferable due to time. hyde park would be too far away…
North Side? I was thinking Inglewood maybe. Lived there 30 years, never heaerd of Engelwood on the North side. Sorry.
