"Kill Bill" - trailer

Well, I’m having mixed feelings about this, but the pervert side of me likes the ball and chain wielding schoolgirl (Chiaki Kuriyama) very much.

the show looks cheesy, but the action looks very cool. and the babes.. well the babes are hot. (not too feeling the ball and chain thing ) , as for the mixed feelings i know what u mean. I’ts like I want to like it but part of me is fighting against it. i think i’ll see it.

wow, uma thurman plays bruce lee from game of death, it’s got kwai chang in it and that monkey guy from raiders of buddhist kung fu.

a hodge podge of tongue in cheek if I’ve ever seen one.

I’ll see it for sure!

cheers

Looks terrible.

Anywho, am i the only person that doesn’t think that that chinese chick in that film, forgot her name, is hot? She really doesn’t do anything for me.

Kelly Hu on the other hand

Sharky, yup.

And I saw this on E-Budo, here was my response…

Looks God awful, stupid and crappy.

I’ll be seeing it opening day.

lol @ Philbert. We all know we’re gonna go see a martial arts film no matter how chop socky it is and come back here to whine about it. lol sometimes I think we just like to whine about things.

Two words, and I don’t need anything more to convince me:

Gordon Liu.

Plus, it’s directed by Quentin Tarantino, who not only has genuine love for the genre, but actually knows how to stage a scene. He’s got plenty visual smarts, and although it’s not going to be as stimulating for the grey matter as his (thus far) masterpiece Jackie Brown, it will at least be better eye-candy than the fucking Matrix sequels. Yes, I know I’m the only person in the world who hates the Matrix.

And now if you’ll pardon me, some Sinbad movie is about to start on TCM. Ray Harryhausen RULES!

The name and what have heard so far convinces me to stay away from it.
Just like any related flick, may it be Tarantino etc.
I hate Matrix too btw.

ppppllllllllllltttttttddddddd

Kelly Hu! Now your talking Sharky!

The movie is supposed to be a chop socky homage to all things chop socky. Should be great.

CSN, you really think Jackie Brown was his masterwork? Why?

Deep characterization. Clear plot. Fantastic set piece where you see the same actions filmed from three perspectives and learn more about what really happened each time. I thought Pulp Fiction and Resevoir Dogs were more show than go - fun, but I don’t really care about the characters or events beyond entertainment. Jackie Brown’s not the best movie ever or anything, but there’s genuine feeling for the various different characters.

Fair enough. It’s interesting that you think that because most people I’ve spoken to see it as the weakest Tarantino film. I guess from a blood and guts perspective that’s true to a degree. It’s the least Tarantino-esque movie in some respects.
