7* and 555 – are you guys talking weight for rep, or max? let’s continue what we do for rep, as that’s the baseline the meatyshakey guy set.

i don’t know how much i do, as i haven’t actually checked into a gym and lifted proper weights. for bench equivalent, i do cable-reinforced pushups (one leg, on knuckles).

i do about five sets of 12 at what i’m estimating as 200, give or take either way. the estimate isn’t conservative or aggressive, so hopefully it’s near the real number.

i’m 5’9", 185.

I do reps of 3 - 4 with 280.

Even tho my max was at one point way higher than 200, there’s no way I could ever have done 12 reps with that weight. That’s what low rep training gets you.

Except now I’m a freaking p.ussy and that stupid food poisoning last week didn’t help things. Three weeks to gain 5 pounds, 5 days to lose it. Why do I bother?

sigh, the plight of the ectomorph…

“I do reps of 3 - 4 with 280.”

I do reps of 9-10 with 7 star while he does his reps with 280.

I went to high school with a cat that could do that. He was benching a little over 500…in High School

^ Wow, I was gonna ask “genetics or steroids?” but that sounds like both. If that’s what he was doing in highschool then he totally has potential to become an elite class lifter.

not sure about roids, but definitely genetics - he was a freakin hauss… big cornfed somb!tch
