Is it any good in a real fight?
some of the moves look like they could be used but a lot of it looks like a dance.
As i have no real understanding of the techs of drunken boxing i am sorry if this question annoys anyone.
Well, from my experience, the guys that do the drunken forms (which are very talented and have a lot of ability and body control) tend to pack up and sneak out the back door with their form medals right before free fighting takes place.
I dont know the name of the clip, but if you have kazaa serch for drunken boxing.
there is a video of a drunken boxing school sparing with some kararte guys. They ar of a simular fighting skill level but the karate guys really do kick the crap out of them. The DB guys try to rely too much on misdirection and seem to have no power in any of there attacks. I can not speak for any other schools other than the one i saw, but this did seem pretty useless.
I think it is a great art for control and body conditioning but dont think its a great fighting art, it would complement some of the more external styles quite well
It looks so cool i want it to be deadly but ive never seen any footage of it exept solo hand forms. Does any one have any clips of full contact drunken boxing? do they have tournements?
ive just been sent that one i think. is it where they’re in a dojo. and the db guy gets axe kicked in the face? nice to see it in action but a bit dissapointing. the karate guy was never gona be fooled by all that misdirection stuff. he was still smiling at the end with his nose broke though.
It would be really cool if you posted that clip on here. ![]()
i will try and find it tomo.
how do i post videos?
