I need to know about the internal styles of kung fu, and the internal martial arts in general. I know of tai chi chuan, pa kua chuan, aikido, and a few others. It would be of great help if you could give me other styles of internal martial arts, even if all you know are the names, it would be helpful. Thanks.
If you go to the internal forum…you’ll prob. get some good descriptions too.
Xing Yi chuan
Bagua
yang, wu, chen, sun,…
tai chi
those are the 3 major chinese internal arts…
many others have internal aspects to them as well
such as any of the shaolin derived styles.
Those must be the best known “neijia” internal CMA.
There are over a thousand of kung-fu styles around,so there must be a bunch of others,I could name various other arts but whether they are internal or external,I don´t know as some styles have both (example-hung gar)
Let´s say korean art of hapkido,it can be considered internal.
Just dont get fooled into thinking that soft means internal.
xing i/hsing i,
ba gua (u know),
tai chi- yang, wu, sun, chen and daoist (directly descended from san chen feng).
Then theres liuhopafa, these are the 4 main internal arts.
Yes and like Leonidas said dont get soft/hard (kung) mixed with internal/external styles
Better yet, don’t get fooled into thinking internal means anything. ![]()
The guy wants to practice Tai Chi…or whatever else.
Whats wrong with that???
