I just found out you can make root beer the same way you make rice wine!!!
You can even use Champagne yeast to make an especially high octane Root Beer!!
Can anyone guess my next fermentation project?

I’d love to take credit for that, but the old Moonshiners used to run thier cars on thier moonshine back during prohibition.Seems thier stills were sometimes closer than the gass stations.
Root beer can be carbonated with yeast in the bottle.
However, you have to be careful because the pressure can build up and it can explode if you don’t use strong bottles and/or the wrong kind of yeast. My parents did that once, using champagne yeast, and it exploded all over the closet.
I blew up a one gallon glass pickle jar fermenting rice with champagne yeast once. I learned putting and airlock on it was a better approach.

They’re outlawing text messaging in a car for the driver at least in Washington State. It’s about time.
