So, yeah. I’ve never studied a grappling art before, and recently I’ve decided I should get at least a working knowledge of fighting on the ground. But, at my University there’s no grappling arts or clubs here (we have a few MA clubs but it’s all like TaeKwondo and Shotokan and stuff).
So, can anyone recommend decent videos for basic grappling concepts? Please don’t bother replying with “you can’t learn anything from a video,” because I didn’t ask if it’s possible to learn from a video or not I asked for good grappling basics videos. Also, if anyone knows any that suck, please list those as well so I know what to avoid.
Most actions of men can be explained by observing a pack of dogs. Not wild dogs, just neighborhood dogs who all scurry under the fence on the same night and set off together to reclaim a glimmer of the glory their species possessed before domestication.
Choiu Schoiu is just judo takedowns but without the groundwork. Although kung fuers try to distance themselves from judo by saying they try to slam the guy on his face it is the exact same moves as judo without but lacking in the groundwork.
And judo sucks, therefore choiu schou sucks also. They both suck and i would stay away from both. Unless of course it’s Kosen Judo. Kosen is not too bad. It’s Nuetral. Not as good as BJJ but it’s OK.
