I have recently changed associations/instructors and the order we learnt the forms in has changed I am interested to learn what order you learn the forms in and Why

Next 4 Sections of Dummy
Complete Bill Gee Form

I have heard the Wang Kui teaches the open hand knife form after Chum Kui saves the weapon version for last. This makes sense since so many valuable foot work long range and aggresive tactics are not formally presented until the knives.
I learned:
sui lim tao
chum kui
dummy
bui jee
pole
knives
In my first Lineage Au Fong we learned in this order:
SLT
CK
MYJ
BJ
6.5
BJD
In the Moy Yat lineage it’s:
SNT
CK
BJ
MYJ
6.5
PCD
I have learned silence from the talkative, toleration from the intolerant, and kindness from the unkind; yet, strange, I am ungrateful to these teachers.

The Dummy, Knives, and Pole are extra classes, outside of the regular class times. Dummy is offered 2-3 times a year, Knives and Pole every other year. You can sign up for them after you have a reasonable foundation, about after six months or so. There is also an Iron Palm course taught every 3 years and a Tri-Podial class about twice a year. The Tri-Podial is described as “Wooden Dummy for the legs/kicking”. Three posts in a triangle in the ground that you move around and kick. That’s all I know about it, haven’t taken it yet. Anybody else heard of it?
I don’t know when we learn CK and BJ. Our school recently started an advanced student class once a week, maybe you learn it there… I don’t know, haven’t been invited yet.
I’ve learned SLT and Dummy, I’ll probably take Tri-Podial in the fall
