Unfortunately trolling and flame wars bring more hits than anything constructive. Iā€™m just thinking a ton of these posts could be summed up with a like and dislike button. :slight_smile: Sometimes it can be hard to find the gems buried up in here when you donā€™t have the desire to read 400 posts that say the same shit.

Agreed. The great philosopher Theodore Adorno, in his book Negative Dialectics, attacks ā€˜constructive criticismā€™ as, very often, an ideological control tactic, forcing us ever closer to a situation where only obsequious mutual celebration is allowed. This is in turn reinforced by an ideology of ā€˜good mannersā€™ that totally closes down that very thing that would actually be constructive - i.e. robust, passionate resistance to crap.
