i finally worked out how to post bloody pictures to this site.

Could you please describe the process for me? Eveyone else gives me the “you just past the url” line and I don’t know what the hell they are talking about.

first, you need a place on the web where your pictures are posted. mine’s on my website. then you put in the code that leads to it.

substitute the < > for the though. (I didn’t do that because then the code would show up, I believe.)
if you’ve got a picture in mind, send me the url and i’ll write up precisely what the code would be.

there’s also an easier way to do this.
all you have to do is hit image at the bottom of one of your replies. you paste in the exact web address of the pic you want to post and kfo takes care of the coding for you.

the mistake i kept making was trying to link to a page instead of to the picture itself.
so in my file hierarchy, there’s the main page, then a graphics folder, then the picture itself.

And i still don’t know how to post pictures. How do you get the pictures on a website? All of my pictures are on paper. I don’t have a scanner. So how do i get pictures online if i don’t have a scanner?

If this works, it’s me touching a mountain goat in the Sangre de Cristo mountain range last year. It took a long, long time to slowly creep up to this thing. My wife is taking the photo, and I’m pretty d@mn exited about it.

Take your photos to kinkos and have them scan them for you and put them on a cd/disk. Or buy a digital camera, those are fun. But I am guessing you do know Ralek, as you are of course a genius.

JWT, Photopoint doesn’t allow you to link to pictures outside of their site. If you want that pic to work, you should find a free server that allows outside image linking. I know Angelfire does, but I’m not sure what others do. I do know that Geocities and Tripod don’t allow it.
