Denver KFO types...

Well, I’m coming out for this:

http://www.kuntaosilat.com/family.htm

October 23-24.

Uncle Bill is legendary hard to understand teacher whose stuff works right out of the box. For those that know me, I teach KTS under Steve Gartin. It’s a weird, yet effective interpretation of CMA by way of Indonesia.

Any Shaolin Do folks in the area, come on down Ill buy the first round after the seminar on Saturday. Guru Chas is real friendly to SD folks as he sees the BS Sin The’ spreads as typical of Indonesians, and is curious if you’ve ‘got’ Kun Tao or not. I promise a friendly atmosphere…

LOL! Be careful when you talk about “coming out” Monkeyslap. Here in the Bay Area that usually means something else!

Those guy look like dam hippies to me. :stuck_out_tongue:

I bought some of Chas’ Knuckle Dusters a few years back… wonderful little items…

PM sent.

For the first time in Denver
Shuai-Chiao Workshop 2004

Combat Shuai-Chiao (Chinese wrestling/grappling) includes kicks, strikes, throws, and locks. The purpose of every move in this art is to take down opponent quickly using any means: Knockdowns, locks, or throws. It is taught with more emphasize on throwing techniques simply because it is more devastating and practical.

The concepts in the two day workshop (taught by Master John Wang*) include:

  1. Combat SC defense that include defense against punches, kicks, and leg shooting.

  2. Combat SC offense that include kick, punch, wrap, throw, and following on strikes.

  3. Butterfly hands (dragon arm) wrapping during entering.

  • John Wang, disciple of the grand master Chang, Dong Sheng (the Chinese wrestling king), has forty years of martial arts experience and has won competitions in the United States and China, including three United States heavy weight championships in Shuai Chiao (1982, 1983, 1984). Mr. Wang has taken the first US Shuai-Chiao teams to compete in Taiwan (1984) and Mainland China (1985). He has been teaching in Austin since 1972 and serves on the board of directors for the American Combat Shuai Chiao Association .

LOCATION & TIME: Washington Park, Denver (Call or email for details), October 9th & 10th 2004

CONTACT: John Hsieh:: hsieh_john@yahoo.com

Wish I could check out that silat seminar…
Master Wang and Master Lin will be kicking my ass the weekend after the 9th already anyhow…

And I’ll miss Austin again… I’ll be sending Paul my mea culpa shortly… work related on my part, and each of top students have ‘family’ matters. A lot of new dads out there…

Didn’t know Sifu Wang was going to be in Denver, I’ll let some of my KTS buddies know, maybe they’ll attend.

“mea culpa”?

It’s a ‘hey I’m sorry, I thought I could come to the event.’
