Your thoughts on these forms?

it was like i was watching a scene from a kung fu movie with all thsoe explanations for the names. i got about 3 seconds into it before i was like wow and closed it.

Better than his longfist, and way better than his swordwork (someone should really tell him that the blades aren’t supposed to cross during the San Cai Jian).
The Hung has all the hallmarks of being made up, BUT his movement is pretty good, so maybe it is a village system.
For what it’s worth, his longfist is whacked. Wushu basics as a form? Some weird kind of expanded Tan Tui with bits of northern forms thrown in? The first half of a wushu eagle form with some random kicking on the end? (my favourite) Wushu Tong Bei basics with a monkey crouch at the beginning end as traditional “iron monkey”
The man also clearly doesn’t know one end of a broadsword from the other.

he moves better than i expected

it is Fu Hok Seung Ying Kuen from Lam Sai-Wing line. All this guy did was break it up into sections and give them names. The first “form” is merely the opening section. His movement isn’t bad, but he seems to have simply learned the form, perhaps from a video. Too much swaying of the body, improper structure, use of force, breathing incorrectly-all hallmarks of video learning. I must say, to his credit, he moves well for a man in his sixties.

I was gonna say. lol

this is the opening sequence of tiger/crane double shape fist (fu hok seung ying kuen)

i didn’t have any volume on, but could see he was talking while doing.

The longfist is from the Ma Family Systems. Given by Kirby Ma. Anyone know/heard of this system of CMA?

Thanks

You are being far two kind with your comments.

Do you think you guys could post some links to quality Hung Gar? I would be curious to make a comparison.

I know nothing of his character, he is probably a nice enough guy. His hung is just OK. Same as Ten Tigers says, plus, unless its for a reason, I cringe when I see someones back foot lift as they execute a black tiger movement among other things he did, but there are variances in the lineages. He could probably still hit you hard enough that you wouldnt like it

This guy impressed me, just ignore the video weirdness and bad quality, he has some nasty body mechanics.

Golden Arms:

The way Lao Kim plays his hung gar reminds me a lot of CLF. I wonder if he also studied CLF because his hung looks like a hybrid somewhat.

I dont know much about his line, except that it has much in common with the way I learned as well. I can tell that guy could hurt me, as well as his students  I wonder if that is the case though, what are the similarities? I know what CLF looks like, but not the finer points since I have not studied it.

That clip was excellent thank for posting, his body mechanics are suberb, you can really see the extension from foot to hand, lovely timing, and clear compression in his body…again thanks

i heard that choy lee fut and hong ga used to be very very similar.
