Hi,

Does anybody have information regarding Choy Mok / Choi Mok Kuen Kung Fu, A southern style?

I’m interested in finding more about this system.

If I recall correctly, there was a small amount of info on Choy Mok in Jane Hallander’s book “Complete Guide to Kung Fu Fighting Styles”. I believe it’s a combination of 2 different Southern Chinese systems, though I don’t remember which ones (I think Hung Gar is one of them though).

Really, cause I thought that it was a Jewish style only taught to the eunichs of Ng Toisan…

Anyway, like he meant to say, it’s a combination of Choy Gar and Mok Gar, Choy’s kicking and footwork (of course) and Mok’s fast and short hand techs (I think, not sure of the Mok Gar contribution). You can find a couple of videos on youtube to get an idea of what it looks like:
