Actually there are quite a few people on this site who won’t reveal their sifu. I was talking with a guy who says he is from my lineage but wouldn’t tell me who he studied with. I guess it’s their perogative but it doesn’t make sense to me that they can’t simply give out a person’s name.

I agree with you it’s just that a lot of sifu’s just don’t want to get caught in the drama that goes on. Most guys like me are just trying to respect their sifu’s wishes, I think you can understand that right?
I can understand if a student comes on a forum and makes an arse out of themselves but most here just discuss CLF or other styles in a productive manner, so it is hardly damaging to someone’s sifu and many people on here teach kung fu. But like I said to each their own.

Like I have said I am no expert and I have to respect my Sifu’s wishes but what does who my sifu is have anything to do with anything, I’m just here to learn and ask questions. I felt that this sifu in this video was very good and I just stated my opinion that’s all. I didn’t come off as an authority so why is it so important to know who my Sifu is?? I will tell you why because there are a lot of haters on this forum.
Personally I don’t care who your sifu is, I am just saying people will always be skeptical of someone who comes on the forum as anonymous. It is kind of par for the course. I am not attacking you just telling you what some will think.
