Chokeyouout, a ? about PRIDE/NHB events

Hiya Choke,

I’m a HUGE nhb fan, especially of PRIDE events which consistently produces outstanding and quality matches - “Dem guys know how to fight fer real.”

This is a shot in the dark, but hey, “Nuthin’ ventured, nuthin’ gained” - Would you be able to recommend, or anyone else for that matter, where I may be able to obtain “excellent” viewing copies of PRIDE/UFC/NHB events? I bought a couple of VHS copies of PRIDE events #'s 3 & 4 from a dude on EBAY and the viewing quality was extremely suspect. Everyone looked out of focused and blurred.

Any info would be greatly appreciated and by the way, I enjoy reading your posts because I tend to get a good chuck out of 'em. One last thing, whatever became of the “ominous” Sifu Abel?

Well, I’m not chokeyouout, but you can buy pride videos on the official pride site: www.pridefc.com.

And I don’t know what happened to SifuAbel.

Mr Nemo,
I heard that ordering it from the Pridefc site takes forever to actually get the video or DVD, like months even. I would suggest ordering through Amazon.-ED

I bought mine in Japan
and they were close to 100 dollars US currency…

( I needed them! )

Who did you get them from? I don’t believe you can order tapes before Pride GP 2000 from their site. E-mail me at pauldi@iona.com. We might have gotten ours from the same guy, but I was just psyched to finally see the Sak/Newton fight that I didn’t care about the quality.

Hey Legend,

That’s:

That’s where I got my Pride 10 DVD. I got it about 3 days after I ordered. Great service. This dude is looking for 3 & 4 though, and I only think only Pride GP 2000-Pride 10 are avaialable here in the states…

“Who’s house?”
“I said RUN’s house.”

I recently bought a Pride tape (the one with Sak vs Renzo) from the Suncoast at a local mall. They have a pretty good assortment of other MMA competition tapes there as well. They were selling a lot of the old and new UFCs, Superbrawl and King of the Cage. Too bad they don’t have Shooto :frowning:

As long as we’re talking about this, does anyone know where you can get Shooto or Vale Tudo tapes?
