I recently “lost” a clip of Sifu Chiu Chi Liu doing the Iron Wire form. Does anyone know where to find a clip of him doing the form?

you can’t download youtube stuff Phil.
but you can go through your temp internet files and sort by type, then look for flash movie file types, then go through those to find which one it was.

He’s the real deal. When you want to see him in action, go for “Kungfu Hustle”.
I’m no street fighter ^_^. I just got into a habit of using this username. I used to be a fan of the street fighter anime and games. And don’t recomend I see kung fu hustle to see him in action. The best way to see him in action is seeing him do forms like this. (btw, I have seen the movie). I don’t know. He is old and everything so I give a little leeway in the category of movement and control… but still, I don’t think he looks particularly good… just my opinion.

The Chiu’s have an old-school mentality and are known for not showing their real kung-fu in public, and especially not in demo versions of the forms. Chiu-Chi Ling especially, being an actor, tends to go over the top in the facial expressions, etc, but also while the moves will be essentially there, he won’t be performing it the same way he teaches it.
However have no fear that in person their instruction is top-notch. You can ask a number of people on this board, (i.e. Gene Ching, Ha Say Fu, and others from Wing Lam’s as Chiu Wei is their si-gung).

As a friend and neighbor of Chiu Chi Ling and as one who has performed with him many times as well as hung out with him while teaching his classes. The way he teaches and perform are in two total different contexts. Also may I add from experience with him it depends on the function as well. But if you really want to know, pay the man a visit he’s very generous with his time, perhaps then you can truly see the real Chiu Family Hung Boxing.
Thanks mok and Tongmojingjung. That seems very plausible, and its one of the reasons why I had doubt (and didn’t just say he stinks ^_^). I’m sure he is very good then, from what you tell me. That is relieving. Thanks for not getting all offensive as well.
