I went to manhattan yesterday in china town to buy some stuff at the BLT Supplies store and I seen some swords there that I wanted to buy but I wasn’t quite sure if I could buy them and walk around the city with it. Why because I hear that this is against the law, is this true? Anyway i just ended up buying myself some feiyue shoes which i must say are pretty awesome.![]()
See if they’ll give you a gift box with the swords. I got a nice 34" taiji broadsword and it came with an exquisite gift box.
Yeah Ill do that, Thanks
I don’t know about NY, but in Chicago, you just need to keep them properly cased.
Although in NY, I think only Japanese weapons are legal.

Royal, no, don’t forget, Chinese arts are banned in New York so Chinese weapons would be illegal as well.
I think he just said that
id like some yemenite daggers, those are the baddest knifes ever.
^COMPLETELY OT

there are uncountable numbers
of ppl who walk around w/weapons in this city that don’t get caught.
and that’s the trick. if the po-po sees you, that’s yo’ @$$
get them boxed, bagged & throw em in a big duffle bag man. Although I’m sure the good ppl at BLT will know the drill.![]()
Don’t think any cops would give u **** if u walk around with a bag..
The question is not how to conceal them - that’s easy. The question is how to conceal and carry in such a way that if some hosebag tries to pull a shiv on you, you can respond with crocodile dundee-esque flair - “That’s not a knife, now THAT’S a knife!” as you whip out your three-foot long willowleaf saber.

He never mentioned Filipino or European weapons.
Heh, heh. I think it’ll be the same for ANY big, sharp, pointy swordy-lookin’ thing regardless of it’s race, religion or country of origin

I want a crysknife.
I was going to buy a couple of cheap broadswords just for display in my room, butterfly knives and a straight sword but oh well maybe next payday.

lmfao…
I keep a dao in my car… someone asked me if I had a knife (to cut a tag off of something) so I grabbed it and handed it to them, the look was classic.
NP - LOL - Great story!
Guess things are different here in CO. Especially considering when we were doing the Kwan Dao forms! There almost no way to hide something like that; well, maybe a ski bag!![]()
Like some cop can tell if the sword is chinese or not. Oh is that a kung fu weapon. Requesting back up. Billy clubs set for stun!
This post has degenerated into sheer retardedness
i think some ppl on KFO need to take reading comprehension courses.
LOOK: If it’s a F$#)@&G SWORD, REGARDLESS if it’s Chinese, Japanese, whatever the H3LL it is, YOU CAN’T JUST CARRY IT slung over your back like Conan the Barbarian!!!
ANY weapon: gun knife SWORD, pick one; carried in NYC w/out a licensce will get your @$$ thrown in J A I L…
if you’re gonna buy a sword of ANY kind, have it discreetly wrapped and/or boxed & bagged and go home, or throw it in the trunk of your car. DON’T carry it around all day.
common sense
I walk around with a broadsword tied snugly to my hip. I brandishi it menacingly when cops give me “the look”. They leave me alone, fearing my awesome power.
"I keep a dao in my car… "
Thats all good and fun if you have a trunk, but I drive a jeep. ![]()
