Can you spot the Sickness?

Ok, first off I have always wanted to go to Japan. It’s one of the few Asian countries I want to make my way over to. I think it would be an amazing trip if done right and I look forward to sometime going their in the future.

That said…

From certain things I have read and certain things anyone can see and also from speaking with businessmen I have meet who have traveled over to Japan, I believe their is a certain sick and twisted undercurrent to the Japenese porno market.

Something that may go deep into its modern subculture and can be seen from those who have read or seen any Magna or Hentai. Something as a father I find very sick.

So can you spot the sickness, and no I don’t meant this joke of a turd who is in this funny video, look closer and you will see two quicks shots of something that I find vulgar to say the least.

Hint, the first got my eye just after the 1:00 minute mark.

i think the whole thing is pretty disturbing.

I think some of it is about control and I found what he said around 50 sec. mark disturbing. The guy has serious issues.

Rogue, disturbing since second number one.

But did you notice what was more than just disturbing about the guy and about a few of the dolls…?

Well, given my track record with Women the last few years, I am almost ready to say that this guy has the right idea…except I’d rather be a celibate monk before going doll…

What I found really disturbing is that some of those dolls look like little girls, and child Anime characters not Woman. Quite gross in my opinion.

Bingo.

After the 1:00 mark you get a flash of some very small kid sized dolls in the far background, call them what you want but their kids all the same, and anyone with a brain knows what kind of sick douche is buying them.

At the vids end you get a much closer peek. When did it get cool in Japan to make pedo sex dolls and I wonder if we have laws for that here in America?

Better for those types to perv out on thier dolls, than real little girls.

Dood, I haven’t got any time now, but you’re just scraping tip of the iceberg.

It’s called ‘roricon’ (‘Lolita complex’). Don’t forget you can get maid cafes over here, some of which are quite cool in an odd way, but some of which are only staffed by high school girls. I’ve not been to either kind as yet and of course, I’m going to check them out.

There is a huge ‘aidoru’ (idol) culture over here, which starts with pre-teen girlie bands like ‘Morning Musume’ (‘Morning Daughter’) and goes all the way through to high-school and junior high school targeted manga like ‘Young Jump’ which is filled with young teens in bikinis… and no, it’s not just the JHS kids reading them, but there’s an alarming amount of old businessmen reading them too.

Standard manga all have some element of it… think of all the faves: Azumi, the ninjette, started when she was supposed to be 14 and every book had her getting her kit off at some point… and of course she hasn’t grown significantly adult-looking in the 40-odd copies that have followed; the manga to Ghost in the Shell - the origin of the excellent Mamoru Ishii anime has a few full-colour pages in it, one section of which is given to Kusanagi’s graphic lesbian orgy… now, OK, she’s definitely adult but it just goes to show how mainstream fetish is over here.

Child porn was outlawed in the 90s if I remember, but the yakuza still produce schoolgirl porn AFAIK (there was a dirty little apartment where they were making it in a dirty big Yakuza-owned apartment building in the first place I worked here 8 years ago).

There is only one plus to the whole thing porn industry over here, and that in no way vilifies the dark side: porn stars seem to have no stigma at all attached to them over here, and can quit and get normal or other high-paid entertainment jobs quite easily.

What I can say is, all cultures have disturbing elements, and you shouldn’t let it put you off coming here. There are loads of good things to outweigh the creeps.

And if you do come, I’ll show you round a couple of things in Tokyo…
Better for those types to perv out on thier dolls, than real little girls.
That actually brings up three points:

 1. A lot of people who buy these things are model nuts… their geekery isn’t in perving, but in the models. The plastic model industry here is hyyyyuuuuuuuge and has a lot of really famous, skilled and detailed designers whose limited edition work goes for really really surprising prices.

 2. Most of the otaku who do buy loads of plastic models and idol dvds and whatever would never do anything… they’re mostly completely surrounded by other otaku and/or are hikikomori (a peculiarly Japanese phenomenon of young mostly male recluses). Personally, having seen many interviewed on Japanese TV, I don’t think they’re far enough emotionally or mentally developed to ever even associate these plastic models with anything anywhere nearly approximating a live human female. Seriously. It’s a world away from western teenagers listening to rap and associating women with worthless biatches and hoes, even if you agree with that model of influence.

 3. They are all adults though, which is still worrying.

Almost worse than the pedophilia is the necrophilia implied.

Tolerating behavior is what reduces stigmas, once you accept it, it becomes “normal”.
Tolerance is the enemy. ~My two cents.

dummy or doll are toys for make believe.

dummy you may practice punching and throwing.

soldier or superman doll you play with them talking or pretending fighting.

these are fine.

but to have relationship with an inanimate object is really not that healthy.

I will stay with a live person.

on the techno side,

pretty soon there will be robot dates??

The problem with this statement is that you don’t define what is or is not to be tolerated. When you are talking about harmful things, yes, tolerance is the enemy. But the way you have stated it is too broad.

Thank Gawd!!

It all depends upon the standards of a culture. There are a lot of things about Japan, I love, and a lot of things, I would have a very hard time living with. Based upon comparative standards, anyone can consider themselves to be ethical, or moral, etc.
Then other people may disagree… Sex-dolls in the guise of a child, are totally unacceptable to me. People that promote said child-dolls, after any fashion, are unacceptable to me.
~But that’s just my opinion…

Like I said before, better for the perve to redirect his focus to the doll, than to a real child…especially if it’s a perve who really does not want to harm a child, but does not have the open self controll to stop himself. Giving that guy a doll, if it allows him to keep his perversions to himself and not seek a little kid, is a good thing as far as I am concerned.

It helps him from committing an atrocity he himself does not want to commit by giving him a faux object to release his sexual frustration on; so he can keep himself composed around real children.

I can’t argue with your logic, but the fact of the matter is reprehensible.

But that’s is not what this guy is using them for… apparently he is such a pushover that he has had women walk all over him for so long that he gave up looking for a decent girl and decided to poke a doll.
