I’m not going to translate the whole thing but it basically is an overview of all five animal styles and how and where they originated. It tells about the destruction of the northern shaolin temple and how they fled to fukien temple. It says that Grandmaster Wing Loc Ng is a legend and should be respected by all martial artist regardless of what kung fu style you practice. Thats basically what I got out of the article.

This article deals with a Shaolin system connected with Bai Yufeng - with a lineage that has been in Shangdong from the Qing Dynasty. This lineage began with Shaolin monks who first passed it on to a layman named Teng Heizi, then during the Qing dynasty a lay person by the name of Liu Qingchao of Shangdong Shou County learned it, then it was passed on to a Zhang Junwei, a layman in Raoyang County in Shandong- then to Feng Yan, and finally to a layman named, Niu Hanzhang (1898- 1975). The article gives a brief history of Bai Yufeng, lists the names of movements, and describes the sets and lists weapons in this tradition.

I find it interesting that, as in our lineage of Shaolin, they refer to the Dragon methods as Shen Long (Divine Dragon) and that this tradition also has “Eight Drunk Immortals” sets.

The author of this article would like to converse with you.
He has never heard of Bai Ma Quan, and he believes that Bai Yu feng was from Ming not Yuan dynasty (I don’t agree so far).

Anyways, he would like more information on Bai Ma Quan, where it is from, where he can find information about it, where he can go to see it, etc.

A lot of research people are doing on the origin of the martial arts of Monk Dong Chen are pointing to Shanxi area as origin point of the tongbei quan and related styles now found in Henan province.
