Brendan Lai Gongfu Institute is pleased to announce the 5th anniversary celebration of the Brazillian Branch, on December 12 2004, at 4pm in our Mo Kwoon: R: Dr. Quirino, 1439 - Centro - Campinas, SP - Brazil.

We will have Lion Dance performance and gongfu demonstrations as well. Besides our official branch, others brazillian branches will be present. All are welcome.

Short History: Instructor Mendonça visited Grand-master Brendan Lai in SF in 1999, october and invited him to come to Brazil. Lai Sifu visited Brazil for three times (1999, 2000 and 2001) and inaugurated Samuel Mendonça’s Branch of Brendan Lai Gongfu Institute in 1999. Grand-master Brendan Lai was the first graduated disciple of Wong, Hong Fun to teach Praying Mantis in Brazil. In 2002, July, Instructor Mendonça visited his senior classmate, Master Tony Chuy in New York and senior classmates in bay area, CA, and also last july 2004 to continue his training in US (NY and SF) as Lai Dat Chung Sifu recommended.

Our school would like to thank Master Tony Chuy and all students from Praying Mantis Martial Arts Institute, NY, for helping us with its traditional teachings and also seniors classmates of SF.
