Hi Gene,
I was unable to PM you.
I am working on a translation of Chuenjing, the book I wrote about on the Shaolin forum.
It is a pity that there is no English version of this book and
I think MArtists of all styles will find it interesting reading.
What do you think about publishing this book?
sounds cool
But we don’t publish books. Just videos and magazines. Sorry.
That is ok Gene, I suspected you didn’t sell do books.
On the Shaolin forum Royal Dragon made a garauntee that you would sell a translation of an old Ming dynasty manuscript so I thought I would give it a try.
Do you have any pointers on who I should talk to or what I should say?
Hang on
We do sell books we just don’t publish them. However, like most retailers, it’s very rare for us to sell a single product from an outside vendor. Generally, we prefer a selection of products - it makes reordering easier. Single product vendors can be very inconsistent and we don’t want to pass along that to our customers.
As to where you should go, check this.
OK, seriously, check out Writer’s Market. It’s hard to get a first time book published. You need to sniff out the different publishers. The independents would probably be the best bet for what you suggest.
