I’m a database administrator by trade and education. How ever. I hate deskwork, so am now doing something called maintenance sign-out for a large mass transit company. I basically tell the drivers where to park, yell at them when they didn’t park in the right place, reassign the incomming busses for the next run, then hand-walk the drivers to what ever row they couldn’t find their 60-foot bus parked in.
It’s quite entertaining for someone with my sarcastic sence of humor.

I keep up my DBA skills by donating time to Catholic Charities. And you can shoot me any DB question you like, but I’m better with Access, SQL and PERL flat file DBA then Oracle.
