don’t take everything so friggin seriously. Jeez! I have a question though. If I had said, “I think Ray Alba is a complete fool,” would you have freaked out and deleted my post? Of course Mr. Alba doesn’t exist. The use of Yip Chun’s name seemed to make the post more important than it actually was. Interesting.
The fact is, that whenever you mention a high caliber name (no matter who it is), someone will always argue on your point… These people (Yip Chun or whoever) have many students and followers all over the world. I am sure there are plenty of them from one or another lineage on this forum.
Saying “Ray Alba is a fool” would not be a problem, as you already said, he doesn’t exist. But saying “Yip Chun” instead, instantly changes the subject. Especially because we are on a WING CHUN forum where i am sure many people come from the Yip Chun lineage.
Even if it was a joke, i personally think it’s in bad taste: especially with what happened on the Southern Forum recently!
All that we would need is a couple of hot heads to start arguing and insulting and would eventually get out of control.
To take out my aggression, i would much rather play GTA3
