Is there a wooden dummy form in 7 Star Mantis?
I have seen a form in some of Lee Kam Wing’s book’s and was wondering is this a “wooden dummy form” or is it just a couple of techniques put together?
Does anyone here use the wooden dummy in their mantis training? and how has it helped them?

Tai Chi Praying Mantis has a wooden dummy form,
it consists of 108 moves combining hand/leg strikes,pulling,pushing,jamming,sweeping,elbows,knees,shoulders,done while sticking close to the dummy.
As far as benefits are concerned,other than a partner the dummy is the best trainning aid to hone your techniques on,
not to mention being a great conditioner,cheers.;)
