what are the similiarities and differences between the Hebei and shanxi styles of Hsing-I?

It seems to me that while both use five element and animal techniques, Hebei places a stronger emphasis on the elements, while Shanxi places a stronger emphasis on the animals. What are other similiarities and differences between these two styles? Thank you for any insight that you could give me concerning this topic.

  • Hebei styles emphasize San Ti training more than the Shanxi styles

  • The Shanxi system is ‘softer’ and evassive than the Hebei style, while Hebei is more direct to the attack and more ‘percussive’

  • Shanxi forms contain more movements than those of Hebei

etc. etc.

There’s a lot of differences (Most of them invisible to the untrained eye).

Phantom, this link lists some differences. What i found interesting is that the Shan-xi style uses more fah-jing(chi).
