Weightlifting playlist suggestions
I used to listen to a lot more electronic: K&D, Chemical Bros., etc. but it all got a bit redundant.
I used to also. For one fight, I walked out to “tough guy” by crystal method.

Culture Club-‘Do you really want to hurt me?’ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2nXGPZaTKik

Morris Albert-‘Feelings’ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CyBcHUe4WeQ

And for that last superset:

Lionel Richie, MJ, and a cast of millions-‘We are the world’ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k2W4-0qUdHY

do you really wanna hurt me is actually an awesome song. I can’t train to it, but I do have a lot of culture club songs in my non gym rotations.

Get rid of mental noise

became a fan of 30 seconds to mars today… they will be added to the playlist.

Ok

So discovered Marilyn Manson and Rob/White Zombie big time, and mostly just use them, but …

Rammstein’s Du Hast from The Matrix still does it,
Supermoves from Overseer,
Under Control from Freeland,
some One Inch Punch,
the Spawn, Matrix, Blade and Blade 2 soundtracks,
Back Drop Bomb (Japanese alt metal, vaguely reminiscent of No Means No),
specifically the Fixed EP from NIN, plus some from Downward Spiral,
Power from Ice T,
The Roots (marv - new discovery for me),
Extreme Ways (various mixes of the song from the Bourne soundtrack), plus Lift Me Up, Raining Again, Beautiful, and strangely down tempo and soft, Where You End,
oh, and masses of Ministry.

But basically, Manson, Zombie and Ministry.

Happy New Year, anyone who’s still here!

dude … soulfly is in my top 5 for maxing.

also cavalera conspiracy, naplam death, hatebreed, or slayer. or any intense classical if i feel that a sharp focus will serve me better than pure emotion - usually beethoven. i realize thats technically six, so i’ll lump cavalera consipracy and soulfly together.

few of my most overused max / work set songs:

cavalera conspiracy (inflikted): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RF1vGXiZOoo

naplam death: (when all is said and done) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SIRUzqHTNh8
(breed to breath) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dKW5SkGm0qw&playnext=1&list=PL3518E2B61EA80010&index=6

slayer (skeleton christ): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SaS4XGowbqc

hatebreed - usually destroy everything or this is now … but it really doesnt matter as all their songs sound fairly similar. i really like when they come up in my play list, but not sure i could listen to an entire album.

also sometimes deicide … but its usually only when they just happen to come up in my playlist as im getting ready to go for it.

… for lifting in general any 80s/90s thrash and death metal (testement, kreator, exodus, anthrax (pre john bush), atrophy, dri, carcass, obituary, nocturnus), some punk (anti-nowhere league, black flag, misfits), a little bit of funky stuff (suicidal and infectious grooves), classical music, and cough icp cough.
