Pretty good stuff I must say but nothing out of the ordinary.I was never a Bruce Lee fan but he’s better than I expected.I take back on criticizing him as much.Still… he’s not THE best like 99% of the population thinks.Bruce Lee is fast I’ll give that but he looke a normal kung fu guy,espacial when demostarting on those karate guys.I loved how he showed the trapping skills from kung fu to karate people.

Bruce lee trained in tons of style once he got to San Francisoco. And he is only like 18 in those clips lol. His ability hadn’t even matured yet. Awesome guy. So dedicated. If Lau kar leung praises him, I’m damn sure not gonna knock him.
I totaly respect the guy, and actually kind of used him as a guide, but I agree with you sharky, or atleats that was a question in my head.

hey naf, erm not really out of all of the clips the only one i thought was cool was the one where he does the side kick and the guy flies off, other wise his trapping is like a 3 year olf wing chun practitioner and his kicks in the video clip that was filmed i assume ages before he became good were a joke, he does this 2 metre run up for the side kick and he generates diddly squat power.
i just like seeing footage of the guy because he is meant to bee soooo good im still looking for that elusive footage of something amazing.
ah i almost forgot , in one of the later video clips his speed did impress me , he was really really fast.

I did ask the JKD guy about Bruce running side kick…Bruce was experimenting with distance…he just wanted to see if he could cover long distance with his side kick…I too thought it was nuts…but I guess he was doing it to see how it worked from long range…medium range and short range. Regarding Bruce’s trapping…there are interviews with William Cheung…Hawken Cheung and Wong Sheung Long who ran into Bruce a few years after he moved to USA…they can vouch for his trapping was GOOD. But please remember folks…Bruce was starting to add in boxing…and was in a way…dropping most of his wing chun entry tactics for more of a fencing/boxing tactic.
