To my Wing Chun collegues:

In the trying times ahead I pray for justice, compassion and the strength to help us understand and shape where events may lead us.

I’m comforted by the fact that we have a deep well of conviction, resolve, and indeed, our own collected faith and experiences so that we move on from this horrific episode.

I propose we show that aspect of our character which is seldom understood by people who don’t know us well. We are martial artists living in extraordinary times. Let us show the world what Martial Artists are. We must remember to conduct ourselves in a manner fitting the needs of our cherished community.

My sincerest condolences to the victims, their family, friends and neighbors.

God have mercy on us.

Dan

“He felt that his whole life was some kind of dream and he sometimes wondered whose it was and whether they were enjoying it.”

Wing Chun friends safe?

How are our members in New York faring?

I hope all is well.

Dan

Ah, this is obviously some strange usage of the word ‘safe’ that I wasn’t previously aware of.
