I’m surprised I haven’t been hearing a lot of doom and gloom predictions about this…
8:02 pm on February 20 this year will be a historic moment in time. It will not be marked by the chiming of any clocks or the ringing of bells, but at that precise time, on that specific date, something will happen which has not occurred for 1,001 years and will never happen again. As the clock ticks over from 8.01 pm on Wednesday, February 20, time will, for sixty seconds only, read in perfect symmetry 2002, 2002, 2002, or to be more precise - 20:02, 20/02, 2002.
Be a good time to take a minute of meditation/reflection, eh?

Unless you’re from someplace that represents the day of the week and month in a REALLY weird way.

Hey, you started it! You’re the one that put 20/02 for tomorrow’s date!
And besides, it is more logical - I’ve always been annoyed at the American way of writing the date.
And as far as I know, only Amreica does it that way. Got to be different, you lot. Got to be the big kid with the best ideas!
I get around this globe a fair bit and just abou everywhere writes the date dd/mm/yy. That includes all of Europe, most of Asia, Australia and New Zealand, etc.
Anybody else out there come from a country that writes it the US way?
was it a kings foot

time is recorded in largest unit first format
date is recorded in smallest unit first format
Kinda logical when you think about what information you need first to have a useful interpretation.
here’s the North American method:
time is recorded in largest unit first format, but noone likes counting past 12 when denoting hours, even though there are 24 of them.
date is recorded in middle/smallest/largest format
hmmm
Plus us ‘backward’ Englishman understand weights and measures in both metric and Imperial - must be our deficient education system. Although the ‘European Community’ has now prevented us from selling solely in Imperial measurements - to the point that it is now a criminal offence. What a bunch of arse.
Before you ask - yes I’m very bored at work and I’mbeing deliberately antagonistic
