Turiyan gold, Brahmin caste, Ordos clan
“A Brahmin, coming into existence, is born as the highest on earth, the
lord of all created beings, for the protection of the treasury of the
(natural) law. Whatever exists in the world is (by right), the
property of the Brahmin; on account of the excellence of his origin
(primogeniture and eminence of birth) The Brahmin is, indeed, entitled

The medievil pics are from a 15th century book on deuling and fighting. It deals mostly in long weapon fighting and as you can see dagger fights. I beleive it is German. I have a copy of it at home if you really want some more information.
The Medieval techniques are histroically accurate and preserved as thoroughly as techniques from the Eastern martial arts.
Alliance Martial Arts is one of the best sources of WMA in the US. They are not a joke. What they are about is no joke. If you email the instructor, Pete Kautz, he’ll answer all of your questions and direct you to primary sources concerning any lingering doubts you might still have. This is not a fabricated program. It is based on primary sources and encompasses so much more than the average person would imagine to find in the WMA.
I don’t get mad.
I get stabby.

met both mike and pete at a western martial arts event i attended in toronto last october. really great guys, and seemed very knowledgable. western martial arts are trying to revive themselves from the german “fechtbooks” (sp?) from the 15th and 16th century. the only problem is the western arts have not had an uninterrupted growth as the eastern martial arts have. so we are hindered by not having any living masters of these techniques.
so the valiant effort is perpetuated by two types of people… scholars who translate, but can’t interpret a pic of a technique to save their life, and martial artists like us who can pull off a pretty close approximation of the technique, but have had our thinking “tainted” by our experience of kung fu and such. actually, if memory serves pete is a former mantis guy.
that being said, i wish that entire community great luck, but it’s just a hobby for me, stickin’ with good 'ol kung fu…
I love the smell of iron palm in the morning, it smells like… victory
