FIRST FORUM REVIEW

Donnie delivers again. Based on a true story, right? Whatev. Donnie is a super cop who leaves the force to become a prosecutor but faces some old nemesis drug runners. He gets to wear one of those bar wigs because HK was a Brit colony. There’s some courtroom drama, but that’s just time to catch your breath. Where this film shines is the action. Donnie brings it - top notch bone crunching fight choreo ramped up by innovative cinematography (lots of drone shots here). There’s an opening action piece that goes into the shooter/kicker/puncher view that’s great fun, then a random 2 against a huge gang street fight, then 1 (Donnie of course) against a hundred thugs in a rooftop club. Each fight rachets up the action and the final bus fight is over the top mayhem. Great stuff.
