How the hell can you guys
train in those flimsy ahss MA shoes?
Every MA shoe I’ve ever purchased, from the $2 “karate shoes” in chinatown USA, to the slick leather lace up “ballet slippers” with the chinese characters on the tongue, and even Asics Tiger Wrestling Shoes have been uncomfortable as hell for kung fu. Particularly if you do Southern Style, as I do, low stances need ankle support.
At my height and weight, I need something closer to a real street shoe - maybe it’s just me? You’re not gonna wear those flat bottom shoes out on the town, are you? You’ll either ruin them, or turn an ankle dancing or defending yourself.
I just picked up a pair of Sketchers athletic shoes from a closeout store, and they are the best things I’ve ever worn. And they were only $39
