taiji legacy 2006

Hey Guys! I’ll be there with a few of my students as well. We should pick a meeting place for Friday night or mayber Saturday sometime. My sifu will be doing a Shaolin Di Shu seminar early on Saturday, so I’ll be there of cours, lol. Friday evening sounds pretty good. I’m coming in early on Friday. I want to swing down to China Town and browse some. Anyway, hope to meet you guys next weekend. Gene, I dont know about the hobo shot, lol. Ok. talk to you guys later.

about those seminars

do we need to pay for those and stuff before hand? or can we just show up

and about how much are they

The seminars are paid

htd: It works on this ticket system. You have to purchase tickets through registration, and then hand them over to the seminar presenter. I’m not sure about the price. You’d have to contact Chin Woo for those details.

cs: I don’t recommend the hobo shoot for teachers, only students and private practitioners. That just seems like bad feng shui. Looking forward to seeing your Di Shu material.

pc: Happy to kick start any new writers. Bend over, please. :stuck_out_tongue: No worries about the Genghis thing. I’ve been called worse. It comes with the territory. Is there anything worth raiding and pillaging in Dallas?

China Town? In Dallas?

hey gene, can i pay at the door? or do i ahve to pay for tickets early?

and ya there is a chinatown in dallas i dont remember what it was like though

houston has 2. old one and the one everyone goes to now

striiiiiiiiiiiiip cluuuuuuuub

Good question, I’m still tryin to find out…
Still haven’t been to Dallas “chinatown” or the asian section of Fort Worth (Peach Street).

Oh, well THAT I can help you with.
Mostly topless around these parts, unless you byob.
i live near one of the highest rated spots in the whole state.

byob? beer? booty? please define b

can i pay at the door? or do i ahve to pay for tickets early?
I really don’t know the answer to your question here. You’d have to ask the good people at Chin Woo. All I know is that you need to have a little ticket, which I’m supposed to collect at the door. I’m not sure where you get those tickets exactly - either you purchase them at registration or they are distributed by pink ninjettes. Pink ninjettes, despite their non-camoflaged attire, can be very difficult to locate, so I’d advise checking in with check in.

$55 for seminar registration
$15 late fee added to that if you register after July 10.
$15 for each seminar.

On top of that…

…don’t forget to tip your seminar instructor. I accept ‘b’ for tips.

so what night are we gonna meet up and get some beers? thurs, friday, sat, or sun?

wtf
there is a beer meet at taiji legacy??
omg now i really wish i was going…
but i wont be going…got work…and me havnt been trainin much this pass year…=x =x
haha..hope u all have fun and bring bak lots of pictures…
all should stop by houston and visit us =)

I fly in Friday and leave Sunday

So it would have to be Friday or Saturday night. However, Jimmy Wong typically hosts some kind of banquet for the VIPs (masters, dignataries and poseurs like me  ) and I’m not sure when that will be exactly, so I have to play things fairly loose in regards to scheduling commitments. Are you staying at the ‘recommended’ hotel? That’s probably where I’ll be housed.

Think I’ll plan on driving up there Friday, saturday, and sunday.
I’m down for doing whatever and I’ll gladly taxi people back here to Fort Worth if they wanna check it out.
If I can I’ll be there before 10am Friday to be there by seminar check-in.
If not, I should be there between 5 and 10pm for the late registration.
Coming off an abysmal 3 week stretch as far as training, so no competing for me.

im flying in thursday and leaving monday.

I have some stuff to take care of that weekend, so I’m only driving down for Saturday.

Yo…

I will be there too… Get in Friday afternoon and leave Monday afternoon, would love to get a few beers…

WHATS UP GENE?!?!?!

Joe Keit

Wow, viewtiful joe wants to tag along too?
We’re gonna be able to pull MAD TAIL!!!
Actually saw you (Joe) and Phil Ng hangin out together at a diner one evening at Taiji Legacy in 2000. I gave you the “i know yer a bad ass” nod, and I’d like to think you gave me the same nod back. hehe

For any of you guys getting in Thursday: if you want, just give me a call and I’ll go pick you up so we can hang out.

Oh yah, and I offer my services as pad man to whoever’s doing continuous sparring, san shou, or anyone who just wants to mess around. There are plenty of people on this forum who can vouch for my skillz.

Pork Chop…

“Pad Man” I was hoping you meant we can use your pad if we do pick up “MAD TAIL”…

hahaha…
