i use toes forward but for the main form im studying(Lau Gar Kuen) we are taught that your forward foot faces forward(toward opponent) and your back foot is straight out and staggered out from your front foot…so when you transition from horse to bow…you’re in a good bow. But we’re always taught knees over toes…which is something I see not done by many people. So i dont know?
Forward!
Three & a half moves out, ie. toes, then heels, then toes, then just a touch with the heels to straighten the feet until the feet point forward.
I’m sitting in a horse stance not an elephant stance
This is of course only the way we do it, many styles have a wider stance, but still toes forward!
I agree with Paledragon though, toes over knees,
You should be able to feel the stretch in the outside of your ankles.
