I thought it might be cool to start a video thread just for the Southern folks. Maybe the mods would be willing to sticky it. The guidelines are as follows: 1)The video somehow relates to Southern Kung Fu…ie Choy Lay Fut, Hung Ga, Choy Ga, Lau Ga, Lee Ga, Mok Ga, Fut Ga, Fukien Bak Hok, Lung Ying, Bak Mei, Southern Praying Mantis, Lama?, 5-ancestors, Tai Shing Pek Kwar?, etc (sorry if I left anyone out… or included anyone that shouldn’t be)… …also could be a practitioner of a Southern art competing in San Shou, San Da, Lei Tai, Kuo Shu, MMA?, etc. But please tell us what art they practice. 1. Let’s leave Wing Chun out of it. They have their own \*\*\*\* forum after all!! 2. If you have comments about a specific video please start a new thread about it. This makes it easier for others to surf the thread for vids without having to read comments. 3. When possible, please try to post a link directly to the video. Don’t send us searching through a web page of 100 videos. Have fun and enjoy! ---

the curriculum is on my website [http://www.angeltowns.net/membercenter/100/shenlong/ikf/martialartsshaolin.htm](http://www.angeltowns.net/membercenter/100/shenlong/ikf/martialartsshaolin.htm) the salute act is an act in itself but it is also the salute for the other 5 basic acts each animal act has its own salute- some are longer and more complex than others it is a big system- more about the history can be found on the web- it incorperates the 5 southern families (Hung, Mok, Choy, Li, Fut) it is sometimes called the 5 family 5 animal style becuase the snake, tiger, dragon, leopard, crane were what was taught most “openly” but then there were also the “other” 5 animals (elephant, horse, monkey, lion, panther) to give you the 10 animals of southern shaolin then there are other sets and people would specialize in a animal and learn more sets related to that- my teacher specialized in the bull- so i also learned that (luckily i have a good build for that animal 🙂 ) franklin \*sorry for the of topic post ---

jmd161, do you do the black tiger stuff? is you do, can i ask why you guys do the 3 bows? one reason i ask is because some of the hung related schools do 3 bows to show their connection to 1st bow=heaven 2nd=earth=3rd=man for the Heaven Earth and Man secret society. the other reason is because choy lee fut does it as well. hsk ---
