# Shinpads?

In San Shou matches what seems to be the easiest and best to use, shinpad or shinpasd with insteps? And are insteps a requirement for San Shou, or is it up to you on what to use?

What do you guys/gals find the most useful between the two without taking away from your fighting ability.
