I am thinking of buying a book on this form. However, before I do, I would like to know what style it is a part of. Thanks in advance.
The book was written by Kin Min Ching. Sifu Ching passed away in 1985. It was the first of 3 that were planned. The books were to record his
martial arts knowledge and experience which was gained through 45+ years of training and teaching. The set ‘Crane in a Tornado’; was one of three
hand sets he developed, in his effort to 'boil down/synthesize ’ the barehanded aspects of his art to the most essential and effective principles.
Kin was born in 1928 in a village of Ta Won, Guangdong provinc e. He began his training at the age of ten in Southern Fukien Shaolin and Hung
Kuen. He trained and then taught, in Guangdong from 1938 until 1953, when he immigrated to Canada.
In 1954 he became the martial arts instructor for the Chinese Free Masonic Club in Calgary and taught there until his death.;l
