Separated Rib

Approximately 8 months ago I managed to injure the intercostal (sp?) tissue between a couple of my ribs. This is one of the more annoying things in the universe.

I practice bagua. Lots of twisting in bagua. It seems now that any major movement results in one of my ribs “popping” in or out…kinda takes the umph out of most everything I do.

I’m curious if anyone has had experience with this sort of injury. Is there anything I can do to accelerate the healing? How long should it normally take to heal?

Any information, sympathy, or valid credit card numbers are appreciated.

Sorry to hear, bro.

Keep the faith.

Thanks, Spammers. Good to know I’ve got the Great White North in my corner. How’s the CLF treating you, anyway?

Still waiting on the advice. Oh, and the credit card #'s. hehe.

Its good ****, mang. We’ve developed a very interesting method of student based learning. Mix that with a little imaging, and viola! its good ****

Do you wear a wrap or something similar to help keep that rib in place? What’s the doc say?

Physio might be a good place to go or at leastpop (no pun intended..really  by and see what they recommend…

Separated Rib -that sucks

A couple o years back I displaced a rib, not quite the same thing but I am sure it was just as painful. Anyway, I think yhe best thing to do is Physiotherpy with acupuncture and herbs. Also the Internal style you do should help you to.
But the main thing is physi and acupuncture, it helped a lot.
