You decide to have them race each other on the frozen pond.
As the race starts they have reached about 20 feet away from you.

If they were in harmony with the ice it wouldn’t have happened in the first place. I would just laugh at them.
i would take my shirt or trousers off first and give one sleeve or one leg to each of them to haul them up with , THUS making my self look good and impressing the chick at the same time
