I am in an argument right now with a friend and want to ask you guys. What is the most densly populated country in the world? I say India, my friend says Japan. Either of us right or wrong? I know India has like 1 billion people, but I mean dense by size and population. Ya know, 2000 people per square mile or whatever type stuff.
Also, what is the most densly populated city in the world? I say Mexico City, friend says Tokyo. Thanks.
I thought the most densely populated area in the world is Java ?
What is the world’s most densely populated island?
Indonesia’s island of Java is the island that is most densely populated with a population density of 2,100 people per square mile (810 per square kilometer). Java is home to more than 107 million people and is 51,000 square miles (132,089 km2)
I know, I know, it says island…I dunno, I am not very well in these areas.
The most densely populated contry is the Princiality of Monaco wiht somehing like 33,000 people per square mile. Keep in mind that little Monaco is a city-state. Behind Monaco are other city-states like Andora ,Lechentstein (sp) and probably the Vatican City.
Thought so. The SAD, SAD reason is that I frequently have similar arguments with a mate in my Geo class.
It’s got to the point that I can name every capitol city and currency in the world - just so he can’t outwit me.
Or conversations usually go like:
Me: “Morning Jason”
Jason: “Mornin’ mate… Bolivia?”
Me: “La-Paz… how was your weekend?”
Jason: “OK, went out on Friday, got totalled… Papua New Guinea?”
Me:“Port Moresby… I went out too, crap night though… The Philippeans?”
