Numbness during horse training

I find that sometimes my knees feel numbness as I sit in my horse for as long as I can. This then turns to pain after about 20 seconds and I have to stop. Any recommendations? I usually end up with either the shaking legs, or the numbness.

Where is the knee alignment compared to the feet? If your feet are ****her out than your knees, this could cause problems. Try doing your horse with your knees situated directly over your feet. At first, you will not be able to go low, but who says you have to go low for the benefit!

Wouldn`t the shaking in the legs be Chi? Peace brother.

ummm, ok, maybe your feet “more to the fore” geez!

Try “further” rather than “f a r ther”!

I do have the feet ****her out than the knees, I think if I push my knees out it is bad as I have knock-knees. Anyway it is not until I begin to tire that I experience the numbness. Maybe adjusting the height of the stance temporarily would help.

Well, to keep the knees from going past the toes, I have to either lean my upper body forward or spread the feet very wide as you said. I’ll give it a try. I do keep my feet parallel and go down to thighs near-parallel to the ground.
