Need to calm down

Hi I’m hoping that someone can help!
I often go out, have late nights and am full of energy, but then often end up feeling burnt out (unsurprisingly).
Yes, I know that going out less often would help(!!!) but i would appreciate any advise on how to spend the time I spend relaxing (i.e. not doing much)more effectively!
I am interested in learning a bit more about meditation or anything else anyone can suggest.

It really depends on your personal intent. If you come home exhausted, you may be too tired for either meditation of qigong–in which case you can sleep.

Meditation and qigong have different effects. Depending on your desired result, you may want one or the other, both or neither.

I ask only because I used to be strung out emotionally all the time - until I dropped medical school from my life.

No amount of kung fu or meditation could prevent me from being a wacko during my medical school yaers.
