MIND-FORM ARTS

i am quite ignorant about the mind-form arts…
the 5 elements as in TCM, can be used correspondantly to ones desired effect, as in an alchemical reaction… to nourish, to dissipate. thus in mind-form arts, one would do a form attributed to a certain element to nourish or enhance that within themselves? for example, if one was yin deficient… similarly, one can use an all fire form against someone that has a watery style?
