Just wonder if there r any instruction tapes out there about long spear training..and Is it advisable to use bench press bar?(45lb)( i could not find the long spear anywhere in edmonton ,canada)..

How long of a spear r u looking for? Iknow the longest that they sell anywhere is 9ft. If you are looking for the da qiang (10-12ft lance), you can try to get in contact of sifu James Guo. His website, http://www.bajimen.com , has a contact email. They r reaaly big in the long spear and probably the best source of info on the spear.
