This may be a strange question, but is your teacher real? I mean is he or she the master they say they are? Have you done a background check? Does their storys of greatness add up? Have you seen your teacher try a technique and he or she seem not to know what they are talking about or f#%ks up really bad?
Well, he isn’t a figment of my imagination.
Yes he is the real deal.

Authenticity is a bullshit concept. The originators of the great styles we train in weren’t riding on the reflected glory of others.
I don’t give a toss where any great martial artist learned the stuff, if they can fight and/or heal, that’s all anyone needs to know.
What’s more is that you can’t fake talent, even if you were trained by the Grand Poobah himself. I don’t believe that certification confers competence in any field.
yeah he is everything and more, the words that usually come out of his mouth are , im not really that great , but my sifu , aaahh he’s really something .
what do bin laden and general custer have in common???

if your reason for posting this
was because you saw your sifu demonstrate a move that appeared he hadn’t perfected, or had difficulty performing…you may want to ask him to show you whatever move it is that your concerned about at his normal speed. I’ve noticed a few things my sifu has a good handle on that are just tricky to do extra slow to show something to you for the first time.
Have a ran a background check? hehe no, but my sifu doesnt claim to be a great master or something a little outlandish…anyway, he has pictures all over the place of his different teachers and certificates in his office…if you’re worried tho…polite questions never hurt.
Apparently mine isn’t real.
I’ve often wondered why lineage is so important. So long as it works, who cares? If he lied to you though, then I think you’ve got issues between you. Trust is essential between Sifu & student.
Hmm… I think that I just contradicted myself. I’ve drunk far too much Scotch tonight. Maybe I didn’t. I can’t tell ![]()
“Pain is merely weakness leaving the body”
hahahaha, LOL @ kungfu guy.
You know, I’ve rethought this point about Simon.
He is no more real or unreal than any kung fu teacher out there.
If there’s an argument, then I think there should be a re do of the 1928 matches.
peace
real deal : )
He is awsome! He still traines everyday, still the fastest most talented martial artist I’ve ever seen. he doesn’t want u to call him a Sifu or master or like that. he refeers to himself as a couch/trainer/teacher. He was trained with amazing martial artists like Chang Dung Sheng, but he dont brag with it, he does not use this to catch new students. As a matter of fact, it was only after a year or so that I was told who Chang really was ![]()
he is the real deal, and if all kungfu people would be as him, than no one could ever mock kung fu as being "ineffective

Well, I’ve met his instructors, and they are motly very well known. I’ve spoken with other students of the same instructors about him. And I’ve seen him move. I am satisfied.
