Is JKD agressive?

As far as I know, technique of JKD is done before the opponent moves in with his attack, but what do you think that the law says about it and do you think you might just leave yourself open for counters?

The idea is to attack into his preparation for attack, not his actual attack. Or his defense. That way he’s not thinking of the counter.

When you fear for your life, what other excuse do you need? And if you don’t then walk away. Yeah, that might be embarrassing but a mature martial artist should rather be called a coward than perhaps maim someone for life.

“Better to be tried by twelve than carried by six”.

“Box a fighter and fight a boxer”. Bruce Lee

Thanks for the reply, more to come?
