Hung Gar GrandMaster William Chung

Does anyone here recognize William Chung as Hung Gar GrandMaster? If so please provide some information on what you know about him, If you don’t recognize him please feel free to comment.

I thought he was a Wing chun student.

Ditto, well a wing chun master under Yip Man

William Chung, Hung Gar

He’s known for village hung gar and s. shaolin in NJ. He’s low profile compared to William Cheung of Wing Chun. It can get confusing.

???

With all do respect, what makes this man a grandmaster?

With all DUE respect…

I found THIS on another thread…

quote:
Let the truth be known . . .

Anyone who has personally met William Chung (aka Cheung Zhou Ding) is undoubtedly aware that he suffers from paranoid delusions and goes so far as to call himself the grandmaster of the Hung system of kung-fu, in spite of the fact that he is not recognized as a grandmaster by anyone. [/quote]

Dude goes on to say that apparently this guy learned some lesser Hung style from Gin Foon Mark(who was one of the first to bring the art to the US)…

If this guy is “low key” he MAY have a title from GFM to some village Gar™ style… Or he may be another Jim Lacy, running the term “grandmaster” through the mud by applying it to himself…

Village Hung Gar?

What do you people mean by “Village” Hung Gar? Please specify.

Village Hung

Village Hung Gar is Hung Gar that has Hung Hei Guen in the lineage but not Wong Fei Hung.

Lin kuen bat lin gong, do lo yat cheung hung!

Who?

Who is William Chung ?
(Does that answer the Question of recognition)

Anyway doesn’t matter..good or not all that matters…as well as correct or not
